LENTEN STEWARDSHIP
This year the Asbury Church & Society Commission would like to help supply the Bettendorf Food Pantry with needed items. The Food Pantry currently has a good supply of canned items and frozen meat, so the real need is for hygiene and paper products. The items needed most al this time include: paper towels, toilet paper, tissues (Kleenex), hand (bar) soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, cake mix, breakfast cereal, and catsup.
Please help us stock the Food Pantry with these important items! You may bring your items to the Food Pantry Baskets located in each narthex. There are also special offering envelopes available for monetary gifts to purchase the needed items.
AFGHAN MINISTRY NEEDS YOUR HELP
We have several beautiful afghans that have been completed recently, and now we are in need of squares to create more afghans. The completed squares should measure 7” and may be either knitted or crocheted. Brenda has just purchased several new skeins of yarn, so stop by the basket in the East Narthex and pick up a skein to knit or crochet squares for afghans. Thank you for your help in this wonderful ministry our church provides to our members and as an outreach to our community.
Thank you for all the cards and prayers that have come my way, from Virginia Duffy.
POTLUCK FOR GARDEN MINISTRY
Set aside Sunday, March 21 at noon for an old fashioned potluck to celebrate the past seasons and share plans for the future. If you have heard of the Garden Ministry, eaten anything from the Garden Ministry, or worked in any of the plots you are invited to attend.
We hope that most of the membership will attend, especially families with children who might be able to help for one hour this spring with getting the plots planted. This will be a good day to celebrate and plan for a new season. Please bring a dish to share on March 21st!
NEW ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS
There is a new Adult Contemporary Issues class during the Sunday School Hour in room 303. The group is led by Tim Hocker and Lana LaSalle. A “contemporary adult course” called the Nooma series is being viewed and discussed during the education hour, 9:45-10:45 a.m. weekly. Please call Tim or Lana for more information, or just drop in on Sunday. Everyone is encouraged to attend!
ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS
There is an Adult Sunday School Class that is looking for new members. It meets during the Sunday School Hour in room 302 and is studying the Book of Acts.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS BEGINS NEW BOOK FOR LENT
