* Introit “Soon and Very Soon” #706
*Call to Worship (from Matthew 11:28-30, “The Message”)
Jesus said, “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to Me. Get away with Me and you'll recover your life.”
“I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with Me and work with Me – watch how I do it.”
“Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.”
“Keep company with Me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly.”
*Hymn “Amazing Grace” vs 1,2,3 & 6 #378
*Unison Prayer
Holy and Awesome God, we stand in Your presence, filled with regret for our many sins and failings. We have often refused to hear Your voice calling to us. At times, we choose to walk in darkness, our vision obscured. We do not care to look within, and we are unwilling to look beyond at those who need our help. Blinded by our own wants, we do not like admitting that we are too weak to walk unaided. Gentle Savior, be with us as a strong and wise friend, and teach us to walk by the light of Your truth. Forgive our failings and rebellious ways, and grant us Your peace, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
